1873
January

Hyoza Yoshizawa established a lime plant in Katayama, Kuzuu-machi, and commenced the production and sales of lime under the name Yoshizawa Shoten.

Commenced the supply of limestone to Asano (presently, TAIHEIYO CEMENT CORPORATION )

1895 -

Commenced development of the lime deposits at Ohgano, which were purchased from Soichiro Asano.

1905 April

Hyoza Yoshizawa Jr.inherited Yoshizawa Shoten.

1914
January

Commenced business transactions with Nippon Kokan K.K. (presently, JFE Steel Corporation )

1917 March

Discovered a lime deposit and started its development at Shimostuiji, Kuzuu-machi.

1928
December

Yoshizawa Shoten renamed Yoshizawa Lime Industry Works.

1933 May

Founded Nippon Dolomite Co., Ltd

1939 September

Yoshizawa Lime Industry Works was reorganized and incorporated as Yoshizawa Lime Industry Co., Ltd. with capital investment from Nippon Kokan K.K. (presently, JFE Steel Corporation ).
Head Office was located at 1-2-1 Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.

1947 September

Visit by H.I.M. Emperor Hirohito.

1950 -

Commenced the supply of dolomite to Yawata Iron and Steel Co.,Ltd. (presently, NIPPON STEEL & SUMITOMO METAL CORPORATION )

1951 July

Hyoza Yoshizawa III, assumed the presidency of Yoshizawa Lime Industry Co., Ltd.

1954 July

Purchased Chichibu Mine ( presently, Chichibu Plant ) from Kanto Seiko K.K. (presently, Daido Steel Co., Ltd. )

1961 October

Established Okutama Kako Co.,Ltd.

1965 January

Established Kokan Kako Co., Ltd.

April

Head Office moved to Takemoto Bldg., 1-8 Kyobashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

1968 November

Established Kimitsu Plant within the compound of Kimisu Ironworks of Nippon Steel Corporation (presently, NIPPON STEEL & SUMITOMO METAL CORPORATION ).

1972 February

Commenced development of the Mitsumine mining area.

1973 April

Head Office moved to Kusano Bldg., 3-9-4Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

November

Published Hyakunen no Ayumi ( The Past 100 Years ) to mark the company's centenary.

December

Established Miyagi Koka Co.,Ltd.

1978 November

Absorbed Nippon Dolomite Co.,Ltd.

1986 October

Received Asada Award from Iron and Steel Institute of Japan for establishing mass production technology and supply system of high quality lime and dolomite.

1990
March

Established Tanuma Plant in Tanuma Industrial Area.

1991 June

Shintaro Yoshizawa assumed the presidency of Yoshizawa Lime Industry Co., Ltd.

1993 July

Established Iwaki Kyodo Tancal Co., Ltd.

1998 December

Head Office moved to Libra Bldg.,3-2, Nihonbashi-kobunacho, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

1999 March

Published the history of Yoshizawa Lime Industry for 125 years.

2002 July

Established Touhoku Lime Co.,Ltd and Kankyolabo Co.,Ltd.

2005 April

Established Yoshizawa EMS Co.,Ltd

2019 April

Iichiro Matsubara assumed the presidency of Yoshizawa Lime Industry Co., Ltd.
